One Stop Senior Services
One Stop Profile

This profile is meant to be a comprehensive yet concise summary of One Stop Senior Services and is meant to mirror the style of the Morningstar Report, a brief financial report used by wealth managers.

CAUSE: Aging/Senior Services, Health and Wellbeing, Hunger and Nutrition

MISSION STATEMENT: One Stop Senior Services helps seniors live safely and independently in their own homes by providing legal, housing, elder abuse, and general assistance services.

HISTORY/BACKGROUND: Since its founding in 1981, One Stop has assisted nearly 50,000 Upper West Side seniors, with problems widely ranging from hunger and homecare to ensuring proper and timely bill payment. With support from the Department For The Aging, One Stop enables Seniors to access welfare benefits and rightful entitlements.

CLIENTS SERVED: One Stop serves Upper West Side seniors, of whom 72% are women and 70% are Latino. New York City’s 60+ population is expected to double in the next five years. This presents One Stop with the daunting challenge of meeting the increased need for its services.

PROGRAMS: In addition to its core Case Assistance Program, One Stop has developed two unique programs: One Stop Support Program (an elder abuse prevention and intervention program) and Care Management (individualized care management plans plus home visitations for clients who need intensive services). The organization provides social services in English, Spanish, and French/Creole.
